Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that emotional maturity meant becoming less affected: cry less, need less, react less, say less, and move on faster.
But what if maturity isnât about feeling less? What if itâs about learning what to do with everything you already feel?
In this episode of the Permission to Be Her series, Becky gets honest about ADHD, rejection sensitivity, her Enneagram 4w3 wiring, emotional regulation, overexplaining, shutting down, and the difference between processing an emotion and simply stuffing it.
She also explores what happens when we absorb the emotional temperature of everyone around us, depend on other people to âgive us back our okayness,â or assume that because a feeling is intense, the story attached to it must be true.
This isnât about becoming less sensitive. Itâs about becoming more skilled with the emotions you already have.
Because you can feel deeply AND communicate well.â¨You can need people AND learn to regulate yourself.â¨You can be sensitive AND strong.â¨You can cry AND still be emotionally mature.
Maybe big girls cry after all.

After almost ten months away from Full On Purpose, I'm back and I'm not coming back as the same woman who left.
This season of my life has forced me to go back to the drawing board and ask a question I don't know that I've ever seriously asked before: Who am I when I stop defining myself by who I am to everyone else?
In the first episode of Permission to Be Her series, we're talking about the difference between character and personality and the ways we can unintentionally learn to edit ourselves to fit our idea of what a "good" woman is supposed to be.
Where did you learn to be quieter, easier, less emotional, less opinionated, or simply....smaller?
And more importantly: Is it shaping your character or shrinking your personality?
Let's figure out what genuinely needs to grow, what needs to be surrended to God, and what he never asked us to give up in the first place.
Ya'll, welcome back!

đď¸ Will I Miss the Rapture?
I used to panic every time I walked into a quiet house. My heart would drop.âDid I miss the rapture?â
It felt irrational. Embarrassing.Too dramatic to say out loud. But the fear was real â and I know Iâm not the only one whoâs felt it.
This episode is one of the most vulnerable Iâve ever recorded.Weâre talking spiritual anxiety, ADHD spirals, end-time fears, and the pressure of trying to raise kids to love God without scaring them out of their minds.
Inside, Iâm unpacking:⢠The root of rapture panic and where it comes from⢠Biblical truth vs. emotional chaos⢠How our wiring (hello, Enneagram + ADHD) shapes our fears⢠What to do when your kids ask if theyâre âsaved enoughâ⢠And how grace holds us when fear tries to grip our chest
If youâve ever wondered, âAm I really okay with God?âOr panicked that maybe youâre not good enough, faithful enough, or certain enoughâŚ
This episode is a gentle reminder: grace has already gone ahead of you.And Jesus isnât coming back to abandon you. Heâs coming back for you.
đď¸ Listen now and let the truth settle into the places where fear once lived.
